Who we are
This website is operated by Damian Winstone, trading as Winstone Strategic Services (“WSS”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. You can contact us at dnw@wsservices.co.uk.
The information we collect
- Enquiry details — when you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if given), company (if given) and your message.
- Booking details — if you book a call through our booking page, we collect your name, email address and phone number so we can arrange and confirm the appointment.
- Technical data — like most websites, our hosting and security provider automatically processes limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely and reliably.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless service — to see which pages are popular and how visitors reach the site. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect personal information about you. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not knowingly collect any special-category or children's data.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use enquiry details solely to respond to you and, where relevant, to discuss and provide our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and — where an enquiry leads to an engagement — the performance of a contract. Technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, security, email delivery of contact-form submissions, and privacy-first, cookieless visitor analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Zoho — appointment scheduling. If you book a call, the details you enter are processed by Zoho Bookings to arrange and confirm the appointment. The booking calendar loads only if you choose to open it.
Fonts and other assets are served directly from this site, so ordinary browsing involves no third-party fonts or advertising or cross-site tracking services. The exceptions are our privacy-first, cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics and the optional booking calendar described above. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent) are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our legitimate business records, after which it is deleted. Technical/security logs are retained by our providers for short periods in line with their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dnw@wsservices.co.uk.
