I'm Damian, the founder and Principal Consultant of Winstone Strategic Services.

My career was shaped over two decades at ARH Group Ltd, a facilities management and building services organisation, where I supported the company's growth from £3m to £25m turnover. Operating in a fast-growing SME meant delivering multiple disciplines concurrently to bridge capability gaps during periods of change — experience that built strong prioritisation, coordination and judgement under pressure.

I progressed through a wide range of roles at ARH — from CAD Designer and Key Account Manager to Operations Manager, Business Analyst, Financial Controller, and ultimately Commercial Business Partner at board level. This breadth gave me a rare end-to-end understanding of how a business actually operates: across finance, operations, compliance, marketing, facilities and digital systems.

As a senior leader I influenced organisational strategy, corporate vision, compliance ethos and a data-driven culture. I led major change and transformation programmes, embedding continuous improvement and evidence-based decision making while keeping a consistent focus on customer satisfaction and commercial performance in a highly regulated, low-margin environment.

My specialisms — change management and adoption, process analysis and improvement, ISO management systems, and the integration of technology and data to improve how a business runs — are the three service pillars WSS is built around today.
